Chinese-Western Cultural Differences from the Viewpoint
of Wedding Ceremony
Abstract: Marriage is formed in a long evolution of the marriage custom. It is the regularity of the activities that restrains people's view of marriage. Marriage custom’s binding does not depend on the law, and it can not believe in science tests neither, but on the force of habit, traditional culture and national psychology. China is a great country with long history. Chinese marriage comes from Fuxi Shi and have complete procedures in wedding when it is in Zhou dynasty. And there are many small changes in wedding procedures, but the six rites are still in wedding for a long time. With the opening of China, cultural exchanges have been more and more frequent. Wedding is an important aspect of culture. The differences in Chinese-Western wedding reflect the cultural differences in different countries. This paper is concerned with what the differences in Chinese-Western Wedding which including wedding places, wedding dresses, wedding procedures and so on. Then studying the analysis of differences and understanding the Chinese-Western cultural differences.

I. Introduction
Marriage is one of the common human social systems. It is much important for everyone from ancient times to now. Wedding is a kind of ceremony to make sure the relationship between husband and wife in public places. So there is a custom to hold a wedding in every kind of culture. And weeding is an important part in every kind of social culture. With the non-stop progress in society and the influence of globalization, wedding culture is in incessant changes and development.
