简析《了不起的盖茨比》之“美国梦”
摘要：弗·斯科特·菲茨杰拉德是美国“爵士乐时代”的代表作家。它被认为是 20 世纪最优秀的英美小
说之一。作者在这部作品里用尼克的口吻叙述了盖茨比梦想的开始与破灭，向我们揭示了美国贵族时代下
的人性丑陋。论文主要从小说的作者及主人公入手，重点围绕盖茨比来阐述“美国梦”的形成与破灭，分
析梦想破灭的主要原因以及盖茨比的悲剧给我们带来的启示。

Abstract: F. Scott Fitzgerald is the representative writer of the American "Jazz Age." It is regarded as one of the
best English and American novels in the 20th century. In this work, the author narrates the beginning and the
demise of Gatsby's dream in Nick's tone. It reveals to us the human ugliness of the American aristocracy. This
paper focuses on the formation and destruction of Gatsby's "American Dream". It analyzes the main reasons for
the collapse of the dream and the revelation that Gatsby’s tragedy has brought us.
