从中美传统节日对比看节日的文化内涵
摘要：中美文化有很大的不同，节日是文化差异最显著的特征。中美传统文化是在不同的文化背景下发展的，本文通过列举中美传统节日，分析对比两国节日在起源、庆祝方式、传统习俗等方面的相同和不同之处来帮助我们更好地看节日的文化内涵。

The Contrast Based on the Cultural Connotation of Chinese and American Traditional Festivals
Abstract：There are great cultural differences between China and America. Festivals are the most significant feature of cultural differences. Chinese and American traditional festivals are developed in different cultural backgrounds. This article mainly focuses on traditional festivals in China and America, analyzes and compares some differences and similarities in origin, celebration, customs and some other aspects to research cultural connotation of festivals better.

1 Introduction
Traditional festivals are regarded as the best form of expression of culture. To understand the cultural connotation, we have to know the traditional festivals. Different cultures have different traditional festivals. The traditional festivals in China and in America are growing in their own culture system. By comparing the traditional festivals of the two countries, we can find out the similarities and differences. Such as Spring Festival and Christmas, Mid-Autumn Festival and Thanksgiving Day, although they have similarities, they have many differences in some other aspects. Through analyzing and comparing the similarities and differences of Chinese and American festivals, learners can research cultural connotation of festivals better.
