基于《新概念英语3》提高大学生英语写作能力的方法探究
摘要：本文选取《新概念英语3》为指导教材，分析教材的权威性及实用性，利用其教材富有逻辑性和说服力的课文；根据输入、输出和衔接理论探究提高写作能力的方法。笔者共提出三种方法，即背诵、改写以及回译法，并会列举具体段落以辅助解释方法。使学习者掌握科学的学习方法，地道的英语思维，全面提高写作能力，从根本上攻克写作这一难关。

A Study on the Methods of Improving English Writing Ability by Using the New Concept English Ⅲ
Abstract: This paper chooses the New Concept English Ⅲ as the teaching material, analyzes the authoritativeness and practicality of the teaching material, makes use of the logical and persuasive text of the teaching material, and proposes the methods to improve the writing ability according to the input, output and cohesion theories. The author proposes three methods, namely recitation, rewriting and back translation, and will list specific paragraphs to assist interpretation. So that the learners master scientific learning methods, authentic English thinking, overall improve writing ability, fundamentally overcome the difficulties of writing.

1 Introduction
It is known to all that in the process of English learning, writing ability is a very important part of the exercise. The level of English learners' writing ability also reflects the learners’ comprehensive language ability. By reciting and learning New Concept English Ⅲ, English learners can not only train the idiomatic English thinking, but also train the ability to organize and explain the arguments logically.
1.1 Research Background
Foreign scholars generally believe that there are two criteria for textbook evaluation: general and specific criteria. Among them, the general standard refers that the teaching material must consider its own principles and social needs. Thus, to meet social needs is an indispensable dimension of material evaluation for a textbook.
New Concept English, written by British scholar Alexandre for nonnative learners, has been widely welcomed by learners around the world since it was published by Longman in 1967. This textbook has been in China for more than 30 years. Its edition and influence are far-reaching in the history of English teaching in China.
Volume Ⅲ is divided into three units, with a mapping test for each of the first two units. Each unit has 20 texts, the length and difficulty gradually increasing. Each unit has student information and sample demonstrations. This book focuses on the analysis of the inherent logic between sentences, which is exactly the principle of this textbook. For both in-school and on-the-job training, this set of teaching materials can play a great role.
After learners have chosen the right material, next step is acting to solve current writing problems. Nowadays, English learners in China often have the following difficulties in writing:
(1) It is difficult for learners to change their thinking from English to Chinese. A number of them will think of Chinese in their mind firstly, and then translate it into English.
(2) Inflexible in the use of words. The reciting word doesn’t mean that learners can use correctly.
(3) Difficulties in choosing teaching materials for writing. Nowadays, there are so many English writing textbooks in China that it is a difficult problem for learners to choose the best one.
So, the key to improve the writing ability is choosing New concept English textbooks with scientific learning methods.
1.2 Purpose and Significance of the Research
English learners in China usually encounter many difficulties in writing, and there is still much room for improvement in their writing ability. The choice of teaching material is crucial, and the method of improving ability is indispensable. After consulting relevant literature, the author puts forward some methods of training writing based on scientific theories. The results of this study are expected to help English learners improve their writing ability and comprehensive knowledge application ability.
