《红楼梦》中人名和称谓的翻译
摘要：《红楼梦》是我国四大名著之一，是举世公认的古典巨作。《红楼梦》中的姓名和称谓的考究更是将中国古代诗礼之家的取名文化展现在世人的眼前。随着中国文化走向国际，《红楼梦》的英译版也应运而生。由于中文版的书中名字都涵有隐喻意思，因此本文主要就《红楼梦》中文版中的人名称谓方面的隐喻如何在英文中体现方面进行了相关研究。

Study the Translation of the Names and Appellations in The Dream of Red Mansion
Abstract: The Dream of Red Mansion is one of the four great classical novels in China, and it is wildly recognized as the top of Chinese classical novel. The study of names and appellations in The Dream of Red Mansion reveals the cultures of families in ancient China which had been always reading and polite to the people all over the world. With the frequent international cultural exchanges, English version of The Dream of Red Mansion turned up. This article mainly study how the implied meanings of the names in Chinese version of the book reflected in English because there are many implied meanings of the names in Chinese version of the book.

1 Introduction
The culture of names and appellation has a great important part in Chinese traditional culture. From the names we can see a person’s family background and from the appellations we can know the social status and relationship of the two people who were talking. But in the process of translating those names and appellations into English, it is hard to reflect those unique Chinese culture. So it is essential for us to study them.
At present, many people have studied the translation of names and appellations in The Dream of Red Mansion and they have made some achievements. However many of them studied it from the angle of domestication or foreignization. And in this way, they used the similar research methods, getting the similar results. So we need to combine multi-angle analysis and comparison of different versions when we study the translation of names and appellations in The Dream of Red Mansion.
